We typically have people online all day 'round seeing as people from a separate forum use the box to chat.

I could give judging a shot.

Yeah, my parents grounded me for failing a few classes.

Regardless of the results of TA, I imagine Christian would be able to participate. It's not like he`d be arrested for failing a case, right?

Note: Sorry for my abscence, though I don't seem to have missed much. I had my laptop taken by my parents and just recently got my DSi to connect to the internet.

Christian stood in place, staring at Stealthjet for a long time. So long, in fact, that he seemed to go comatose. After what felt like ages, Christian stirred. "Alright, Mr. Stealthjet." He murmered, hardly more than a whisper. "I earnestly regret sinking to such a low as this, it truely is a dishonor to me." Shuffling to a more comfortable position, Christian stared at the prosecuting attorney, hard-eyed. "But I feel that it is hard to ignore the fact that Stealthjet was the last edit. If you were truely so worried about him abusing his powers, would you not take some form of screenshot or even just refuse to edit the post, leaving his bold faced crime wide open to any frequenter to this board!?" His voice slowly rose from a whisper to almost a roar.

Silence refilled the court, as Christian allowed his point to settle in. His voice, back to a whisper, sounded out, once again. "You scream of injustices and abuse of power yet you, yes you, Mr. Stealthjet, allowed this to happen. I may as well put out the message short and simply. If you have no proof that my client did, in fact, edit your post, then you have no hopes in hell of ever winning this case. As I remember hearing in another court session, proof is everything. You bring me back proof that you were truely a victim to the crimes you throw at my client, slandering his name, and I might concede defeat to you."

Standing up, Christian turned to the audience before striding straight through the crowd and to the doors. "If you come up with some proof, I'll be sitting in the lobby, Mr. Fury."

I'm sure I want White.

We shouldn't go about finding more people when we're hardly doing anything with the ones we already have.

Put me in as Mr. White. Cheesy

"If we're gonna play the 'proof' card," Christian shrugged. "Then I'll have to ask the same of you. You can't prove that Dypo was the one to place the text and not Stealth. On top of that, you seem to think that being 'childish' is reason enough for a motive. If that's all it takes to make a motive, then who's to say that it wasn't Stealthjet being the childish one by pretending that Dypo had done it?" Christian closed his outstretched fingers into a tight fist as he abruptly pounded on the table. "Who's to say that Stealth isn't every bit as immature as Dypo? If you need more for a motive, I got more. For one thing, I'm sure you've noticed that the AA:RP board isn't very active. Maybe this post was a clever ruse to provoke a case such as this one, performed by either Dypo or Stealthjet in an attempt to increase activity. If this event hadn't happened this incidence wouldn't have ever arose. And, now, I'd like to prove that both your client as well as mine are willing to pull a stunt such as this one merely to provoke activity."

Christian tossed a folded up sheet of paper across the room, landing on the prosecutor's desk. Unfolded, it read:

http://aceattorneyrp.smfforfree3.com/index.php/topic,34.0.html

On the backside of the paper, it read:

"As you can see here," Christian declared, pointing at the sheet of paper. "Both clients would be willing to put forth effort in raising activity and interest in this very RP. Now, this evidence affects both your client, as well as mine. However, I feel that this would be a poor reason for punishment, as the outcome turned out to be a positive effect." Christian held out his arms, signalling to the courtroom, itself. "None of this would be happening if this hadn't happened."

Oh, you didn't participate in the RP. I've mentioned it in the box, though. The RP in question is The World Ends Now, which we generally abreviate (sp?) as TWEN.

Christian lounged back in his chair, careful to keep his tuxedo clean. His piercing eyes stared across the room at the prosecuting attorney, reading him. Standing up, he runs his right hand through his hair, clearing his face. "That's certainly an interesting opening statement. I see that you're a rookie. Try not to pour your entire argument into one statement, next time." The words roll from his tongue, calm and collected, yet piercing to the very soul. "But I'd like to direct your attention to a few subjects. First of all," He extended his thumb, indicating his first point. "I'd like to direct your attention to the name of the board this took place on. That's right, Random Chat."

A smirk crosses Christian's face as the first point digs in. "This board is not to be taken seriously. Anything taking place under Random Chat should be assumed to be more towards the off-topic idea. Next," He extends his index finger for his second point. "I don't see any evidence as to Dypo changing anything about the post. It would appear that Stealthjet had posted a video and Dypo merely added a bit of his own... humor to the situation." He smirked at this point, extending his middle finger. "Third, I don't seem to remember Stealth being too irritated about this little incidence. If he had been offset by the occurence, he would've protested in some way. Fourth," His ring finger extends. "As an admin, Dypo has the right to edit posts, or else the board wouldn't even allow it. Yes, it wasn't intended to be used in this fashion, but it is his choice and his right."

Christian paused for a moment to allow all the information to sink in, his four fingers still outstretched. "Finally," His last finger extends, his hand wide open. "How do you know Dypo wasn't framed by your attorney? I'd like to direct your attention to this." He flicked out a photograph. The paper slowly fluttered across the courtroom to land on the prosecution's desk. Sliding perfectly to land at his waist, the contents were easily visible.

"I've taken the liberty of highlighting the vital part. Can you tell me who last edited this post?" Before waiting on an answer, he responded. "Stealthjet. Your so-called innocent victim." Christian's grin intensified, punching down through the brain straight to the heart. "How can you prove that Dypo was the one to edit the post and not Stealthjet, merely claiming that my client did it?"

Feel free to name the RP, if you want. Dypo knows what I'm talkin' about.
13  Chatroom / Random Chat / Re: Anybody out there? on: August 01, 2010, 04:50:18 pm
I may as well broadcast here what I've broadcasted in the box. If you plan on getting this going, do so soon. I assure you you do not want this ending up like another RP you may have seen. While this board is still technically 'alive' it doesn't seem to be too heavily trafficked. On top of that, half the people that post on the board don't ever show up in the xatbox. It's very common to find only a person or two in the box at a time, which most likely harshes a bit of the lively-tude of the RP.

tl;dr, Get this up and running before it dies prematurely and to you other people: Get in the ****in' (stupid censoring) box when you're online, dammit.
14  Roleplaying / Sign Ups for the RP / Christian Dissarea on: July 06, 2010, 04:55:28 pm
Name: Christian Dissarea
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Occupation: High Ranking member in the powerful Shibuyan Gang, The Vermillion Order

Personality: A very smug man, Christian is practically the polar opposite of his brother. Where Shawn has brawn, Christian has brains. His intellect plays into how he climbed the ranking in the Order as quickly as he did. He can be lethal in the arts of combat, but prefers to solve problems through discussion. Which is to say, he enjoys tearing down his opponents verbally as he raises his intelligence above theirs and proceeds to pummel them into the ground (metaphorically, of course).
Appearance: Always dresses in a dark black tuxedo, with a white undershirt and red tie. Always being just short of literal. He wears a tuxedo to everything. From grabbing fast food, to dining in fancy restaurants, to running assassinations, his attire is consistent. His dark brown hair casually sweeps to one side to offer visibility without losing appearance.
Background: A very high ranking member of the Order, Christian has a lot of influence over the globe. His brother, Shawn, is three years younger than him and practically his exact opposite. However, the brothers are very close, and if you pick with one, you pick with both of them. Christian utilizes his brother's brute strength with his brilliant intelligence to run most, if not all, operations with top efficiency.

-----

Not going to give much on background, 'cause I plan on using him a lot more with our RP. That should help depict Shawn a tad bit to those who won't recognize him.

Yes, I know you guys have your own RP. I didn't read everything, though. I had no idea at all that Christian was in that other RP. But let's put this aside for now. This topic is beginning to derail, and then I'll have to mod myself. And yes, I'm reluctant to do that, though I will have to follow the rules to form an example.

((OOC: Anyway, maybe we can have Chicken write a story about his attorney's corrupt ramblings. =P
In fact, I believe I'll ask right now.))

"Objection!" Ike shouts, rather out of place in a courthouse. "Dypo himself said that even though he is an admin, he'd have to follow the rules to set an example!" He slams down a paper onto the desk, detailing the evidence.
